Christie, Pilates Teacher at Padel Power

Christie

Pilates Teacher · Mat & Reformer · Pre and Postnatal Specialist

Six years of teaching, and a background you will not hear every day: Christie is a former professional Muay Thai fighter who came back from having her second child to win a European championship, a comeback she credits to Pilates. Expect precise, strong, flowing classes with a big emphasis on control and time under tension. Inclusive but challenging: everyone is more capable than they realise, and her job is to prove it to you.

Best for: beginners, returning to exercise, all levels and athletes
Verity, Reformer Pilates Instructor at Padel Power

Verity

Pilates Instructor · Mat & Reformer · Pre and Postnatal Specialist · BA (Hons) Professional Dance & Performance

Verity trained as a professional ballerina from the age of 11 and first met a reformer eight years ago while rehabbing from injury. Now qualified in Level 3 Mat, Dynamic Reformer and Pre/Postnatal Pilates, she has taught everyone from complete beginners to professional athletes. Her classes are full of encouragement and laughs, different every week, and always carry a hint of dance. No splits needed.

Best for: everyone, with every move adaptable to your level
Gabby, Reformer Pilates Instructor at Padel Power

Gabby

Reformer Pilates Instructor · Stott Advanced Mat · Fitness Pilates Reformer

Gabby wandered into a Pilates session at Pineapple Dance Studios, was instantly hooked, and has now been teaching for seven years. Her classes blend classical Pilates with a contemporary edge, built on the six core principles and the original idea of Contrology. She has real experience supporting clients through injury and rehab, taking referrals from physios, osteopaths and chiropractors. She is also a qualified running coach, so do not be surprised if she talks you into your first 5K.

Best for: all levels, including rehab and recovery
Laura, Pilates Instructor at Padel Power

Laura

Pilates Instructor · Mat & Reformer · Level 3 Mat Pilates

Laura had been doing Pilates for twenty years before she taught her first class. Teaching is a change of career from the legal world, built on Level 3 Mat and Reformer qualifications and a childhood in ballet and dance. Her classes are gentle and mindful by default, though she will happily take one up a gear as long as the technique holds, and you will leave stronger than you walked in. Outside the studio she is usually with her daughter or walking her doodles.

Best for: beginners and intermediate
